At Wild Roots, our mission is to connect language learning with the natural world. By using TPR, we give children and adults the chance to live English, not just study it but making the language part of real experiences in nature.
Learning Through Action
At Wild Roots English Ecology, we believe the best way to learn is through doing. That’s why we use the TPR Method (Total Physical Response) a fun and natural way to teach English that connects words with movement, action, and real experiences in nature.
Total Physical Response (TPR) is a language learning approach where teachers give simple commands in English, and learners respond with a physical action. For example:
Teacher says: “cat”
Students respond by saying the word and acting out a cat. The more action, the better
This active style of learning helps students understand faster, remember longer, and feel more confident using English.
Natural Learning: Children and adults learn their first language through action and play. TPR recreates this process.
Fun & Engaging: Games, nature walks, and eco-activities keep learners motivated.
Stress-Free: No pressure to speak right away — learners show understanding through movement before speaking.
Better Memory: Linking English words to real actions and natural objects builds strong memory connections.
At WildRoots, TPR comes alive in every activity:
Nature Walks: “Point to the river,” “Pick up a leaf,” “Look at the bird.”
Eco Art: “Paint the flower red,” “Cut the leaf,” “Show me your picture.”
Games & Adventures: “Run to the tree,” “Find something green,” “Pass the ball.”
Environmental Projects: “Fill the eco-brick,” “Water the tree,” “Hold the bottle.”
