🪱Why Earthworms?

Earthworms are one of nature’s best teachers.
They show children that even the smallest creatures have important jobs:

• They help plants grow

• They keep soil healthy

• They recycle dead leaves and food scraps

• They create tunnels that help air and water reach the roots

This workshop helps children see that every living thing matters — a core Wild Roots value.

🌱What Children Will Do

During this workshop, children will:

✔ 1. Explore real earthworms safely

Children observe earthworms gently, learning how they move, eat, and live.
We teach them how to hold worms with care and respect.

✔ 2. Learn how worms help the garden

They discover how worms make soil rich and why farmers love them.

✔ 3. Build a Mini Worm Habitat

Children will help set up a small soil-and-leaf worm bin, learning how to create the perfect home for worms.
